Our Students have not only made us proud by achieving their own individual goals but also helped in striving to shift the paradigm of the entire education sector by encouraging and impacting their community at large. One such example is of Jaydeep Vasava, our alumni, who fought against all odds and secured admission in Municipal Institute of medical education & research (‘SMIMER’), Surat to start his MBBS journey.
Jaydeep loves to play cricket and is an avid reader, who likes to keep himself updated with the current affairs by reading newspaper daily.
He plans to pursue Masters in surgery to be able to serve and help the society in large.
At Bachhpan with the help of the volunteers, we also encourage and prepare our students to appear and get enrolled under Navodaya Vidyalaya scheme, a support program initiated by Government of India primarily for children from rural area offering free education to students from class VI to XII. This year, four of our students cleared their tests successfully got admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas:
Though the education crisis/inequity in India is deeply rooted, we at bachppan strive to provide quality education to our young tremendously potential children. We also believe that the parents of these children are their strongest partners motivating them to break the cycle of poverty. With this, we take pride and are happy to report that for the year 2018-19 all our students of Higher secondary school Certificate (HSC) and 95.23% of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) students have cleared their exams.
We believe that beyond academics, children should be encouraged to develop skills for growth and life-long learning and so at Bachhpan we also aim to identify students with different talents and support them by creating customised pathways.
